We are nestled in the middle of one of the most picturesque areas in all of Canada: The St. Lawrence Valley. Aside from Morrisburg’s hometown charm, you have access to countless other communities, cities and attractions that make for an exciting visit of any duration.
Within a short drive
Surrounding Morrisburg is some of Eastern Ontario’s most prized jewels in The Parks of The St. Lawrence that stretches from Kingston all the way to Montreal. Picnics, camping, biking, and hiking and snowshoe trails create play areas that mingle with a beautiful natural setting.
The Valley is also home to a bounty of communities, towns and cities each with their own unique culture and events – each ready to welcome you with open arms. Within an hour’s drive of Morrisburg, you can reach Brockville, Cornwall, Maxville and Ottawa, our Nation’s Capital, amongst other smaller communities.
A little longer drive
If you’re up for a further drive, you’ll be able to connect with other major attractions within Eastern Ontario, Western Quebec and northern New York State.
Heading west, you’ll find the quaint little town Merrickville and the City of Kingston, home of Fort Henry. Pointing east down the 401, you’ll land in the cultural centre of la ville de Montreal. Just north past Ottawa, you’ll find the beautiful Algonquin Park and Gatineau, Quebec. South of the border, crossing into the USA, you’ll stumble upon Potsdam, Ogdensburg and Massena.
“If you’re coming to visit the area, the McIntosh Country Inn is the prefect location to call home while you explore everything this beautiful part of the world has to offer.”
